Description

Extremely Rare to find a 15 ips NAB calibration tape

Factory Ampex full-track alignment tape for setting level and playback on ¼" decks running at 15 inches per second. Marked “Full Track 3 dB above Ampex operating level – 15 in/s NAB 50 µs”, this is a classic reference for setting up mastering, broadcast, and archival machines.

Use it to verify reproduce level and EQ on your full-track ¼" deck, or keep it as a period-correct calibration piece in a professional tape setup.

Tape and reel are in clean vintage condition. Box shows edge wear and tearing at the front where the orange seal has been opened (see photos). Tape has not been play-tested by us and is sold as-found due to age; other Ampex test tapes from this group have played without issue. Please review all photos for exact cosmetic condition.
